About the Owners of the Cottage on the Thames

The Cottage on the Thames is owned by two introverted bookworms, Melanie Cameron and Mark Morton. They and their two young children share their time between Kitchener-Waterloo and St. Marys. Mark is a Senior Instructional Developer at the University of Waterloo, and is the author of several nonfiction books, including Cupboard Love, The End, The Lover's Tongue, and Cooking with Shakespeare. He also writes a quarterly column for Gastronomica: A Journal of Food and Culture, published by the University of California Press, and has written and broadcast scores of columns about language for CBC Radio. Melanie teaches creative writing and literature at a private high school and is the author of two books of poetry, Holding the Dark and wake.
