Two suites

Located at 279 Thomas Street in St. Marys, the Cottage on the Thames has an upper and lower suite: the upper suite is regularly available for rent, while the lower suite is available only when it is not in use by the cottage owners. The two suites are self-contained, and each has its own entrance.

The upper suite is an ideal getaway for couples or families, and a perfect retreat for writing groups, outdoor clubs, birders, or other small groups who wish to commune in a quiet and picturesque setting. It features:

• Air conditioning.
• Master bedroom, with a queen-size bed and a large closet.
• Second bedroom, with twin-size bunk beds and a large closet.
• Living room, with a pull-out, queen-size sofa bed, and a bow-window looking out over the Westover Inn's expansive grounds. The living room also has a large flat-screen TV and DVD player.
• Three-piece bathroom, with a jetted tub.
• Fully equipped kitchen (including a dishwasher, ceramic-top stove, full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, waffle iron, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, and more).
• Access to the backyard, river front, fire pit, and gas barbecue. These amenities are shared with the guests or cottage owners in the lower suite, but the multiple gathering spots in the sizable backyard make it easy for guests to independently enjoy the property.

The lower suite (click here for photos)

The lower suite is perfect for a couple or a small family. During July and August it is often occupied by the cottage owners, Mark and Melanie, and their children, but is sometimes available for rent. It features:

• Air conditioning
• Master bedroom, with a queen-size bed and large closet.
• Secondary sleeping area with bunkbeds (double on the bottom, single on the top)
• Fully-equipped kitchenette (including oven/stove, full-size refrigerator, microwave oven, waffle iron, pots and pans, dishes, cutlery, dining table, and more).
• Living room with sofa, chairs, and TV with a DVD player.
• Large, furnished sunroom overlooking the river.
• Three-piece bathroom
• Laundry area with washer and dryer.
• Access to the backyard, river front, fire pit, and gas barbecue. These amenities are shared with the guests or cottage owners in the lower suite, but the multiple gathering spots in the sizable backyard make it easy for guests to independently enjoy the property.
